I'd never use such discount as mostly all the credit cards provide a good insurance on flight cancellation, baggage delay and similar instances. Unless you're paying cash or debit for a flight, you shouldn't use a gc.

Actually flew out of Pearson a few times and it was ok. Agreed, lots of places were closed or had reduced hours (lounges).

WestJet has been doing free cancellations (full amount to travel bank) and has continually extended this... Right now it's anything booked up to June 15.

I'm having a hard time finding out if AC is doing this... Does anyone know?

Yes ac has been providing full refunds. A buddy had to cancel last week due to testing positive for covid and got a full refund.
