Just spoke with Evolink, and "Unfortunately, Air Canada requested an adjournment early last week and the matter was adjourned to December 15, 2016.".
Just a reminder that there will be more action/info on this next week (I hope!)

I emailed Evolink just before Christmas but didn't get a reply. I hope to hear next week.

Reply from Evolink as of today...

Thank you for your e-mail. The authorization occurred on December 15. Our judge has reserved the decision to consider all the evidence and materials. In Quebec, the judges typically release their decisions within 3-4 months. The website will be updated shortly with this information.

Once we receive the decision from the judge, everyone will be notified as well.

Cross your fingers, but this is good news!

Update as of today. Great news!

Dear XXXX,

This is an update for the proposed class action against Air Canada for the mispricing incident in August 2015.

The class action authorization hearing for this matter was heard on December 15, 2016 in Montréal, Québec. The court reserved its judgment and released its decision on January 27, 2017. We are pleased to notify you that the Superior Court of Québec has authorized the lawsuit to proceed as a class action.

At the authorization hearing, the court had to decide whether the matter was suitable to be "authorized" to proceed as a class action. Given that the court authorized the class action to proceed, there will be a trial on the merits of the case shortly thereafter, subject to any appeals that Air Canada may bring in respect of the court's decision on January 27, 2017.

The court's reasons for judgment can be found here.

The court has also appointed Mr. Simon Lin of Evolink Law Group and Mr. Jérémie John Martin and Mr. Sébastien Paquette of Champlain Avocats as class counsel for this lawsuit.

Further updates for this action will be posted to our website shortly (http://evolinklaw.com/air-canada-flight ... ss-action/). A court-approved notice will be published in approximately 45-days.

Thank you very much.
Kind Regards,

Evolink Law Group

Looks like there was 249 people that were able to buy them before they got taken away, and based on what the plaintiff is requestioning it's at least $2,150,000 in damages (I didn't include interest on there).

That is most likely the # of people that have signed up for the class action mailing list so far...

I bought 2 myself (one for spouse)

Got the same email a few days ago, Air Canada sent the email as requested by the court.

This email was sent by Air Canada following a judgment issued by the Superior Court of Quebec (Nº: 500-06-000756-151). This email is excluded from commercial electronic message as defined, namely, under Canada’s anti-spam law and associated regulations.
