[Air Miles] Shell Minimum $14 off 30L and Free Products with Air Miles Bonus Boom Feb 10-23

Deal Link:
Expiry:
February 23, 2022
Retailer:
Air Miles
More offers from Air Miles
Highlight:
1. See this post on how to get a minimum $14 off 30L at Shell. I received $19 off (and more) in only one 30L transaction.
2. Another $19 off 30L for 2nd AM account: post
3. Doing just the 2 Shell offers #3 and #6 listed below = 20% off $10 gas.
4. See this post for an example of $20 worth of free products at Sobeys.

The offer site is up for Air Miles Bonus Boom (BB). Change the Region to view the offers in your Province.

https://www.airmiles.ca/en/promotions/bonus-boom.html

This event occurred every 6 weeks or so in 2021 but now offers final tiered bonuses. The payout is a lot smaller than the recent Bonus Boom Boost Event (thread link for reference). However, the offers are still fairly easy to achieve

Get 100 Bonus Air Miles when you use 3 different offers
Get 200 Bonus Air Miles when you use 5 different offers
Get 300 Bonus Air Miles when you use 7 different offers

The final tiered bonuses are in ADDITION to the Bonus Air Miles (BAMs) earned from each BB offer plus many are stackable with non-BB and targeted offers resulting in SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS.

As with any AM offer, read the fine print of each offer. Some have different eligibility dates, some may require opt-in and some may require a code to be manually entered at the cash.

Here are some (not all) of the more popular offers for Ontario AM collectors.

Shell (must OPT-IN):
1. Buy 30L Regular Gas get 10 BAMs
2. Buy 30L Premium Gas get 15 BAMs
3. Redeem 95 AM get 10 BAMs (max 20 BAMs in 2 transactions).
4. Spend $10 on Non-Fuel get 10 BAMs (there is a stackable non-BB offer for 10 BAMs on 3 Coke Products)
5. Spend $20 on Lottery get 10 BAMs
6. Use EasyPay app on any fuel and qualifying non-fuel purchases get 10 BAMs (max 20 BAMs). There is a DP here showing no min requirement on fuel.

Can stack with EasyPay app 50 BAMs for first time users and targeted Shell Go+ gas offers i.e. 50 BAMs/2x30L or 100 BAMs/3x30L.

Sobeys:
1. Redeem 95 AM get 25 BAMs (must OPT-IN)
2. 10 BAMs on 2 x OR Popcorn
3. 15 BAMS on $5+ WCC Apples
4. 40 BAMs on 4 x Pasta Sauce
5. 75 BAMs on 4 x BC Baking Mixes
and more

* Note: Redeeming AM on one of these product offers will result in an extra 100 BAMs (at the 2nd or 3rd bonus tiers). This means the product ends up either being FREE or you make money.

Foodland (must OPT-IN):
1. Redeem 95 AM get 25 BAMs

Jean Coutu:
1. Redeem 380 AM get 50 BAMs or 190 AM get 20 BAMs
2. Spend $60 get 50 BAMs

AirMilesShop.ca:
1. Spend $80 get 50 BAMs.

Airmilescardlink.ca:
1. Use any offer found on airmilescardlink.ca and get 20 BAMs. One such offer is Spend $10 at Subway and get 5 BAMs. Buying a Subway GC in-store (not on-line) should work. Must pay using any Mastercard linked to your AM account.

* Notes regarding Redemption Offer at Shell and Sobeys *
1. Redeeming 95 Cash AMs on an “eligible” product with a BB offer will count as 2 BB offers completed and earn all associated BAMs.
2. Redeeming multiple times at one retailer (i.e. at Shell) will only count as one “unique” offer towards the final BB tiered bonuses. (Redeeming at each of Shell and Sobeys will count as 2 unique offers)
3. You need a minimum of 95 Cash Air Miles (not Dream) prior to the start of the transaction.

Would redeeming 95 miles on 20$ worth of lotto tickets work, then paying the rest (10$) count as 3?
😎Thanks RFD😎

We are struck out at Metro with this one. Let's hope Metro add some new offers next week. In the past, sometimes they did that

I could do 3 at shell for my normal fill up (EasyApp, redeem 95 for 30L fuel). Adding $10 non-fuel and $20 lottery will be 5. But that would be spending $30 to get back 200AM. I could also drive 15km to Sobeys and redeem 95 by buying some sauces. I probably start with 3 at Shell and go from there

Shell, Sobeys and Subway are all in the same local shopping complex. Likely going to do 4 Shell (gas, redemption, EasyPay, $10 in drinks), 1 Sobeys redemption and 1 Subway all in one trip. Then AirMilesShop at home for my 7th. Should be easy.

Normal (unfortunately). Gotta be patient. Give it 10 weeks to Mar 7 for Dec’s BBB to post.

Can’t find anything worth extra effort for QC. Too much spending/unnecessary miles redemption for 10/20/30$ worth of miles imo :/

Help me out. I only see the redemption and lottery offer being triggered in your scenario.

BTW lottery tickets is not considered “non-fuel” if that was what you’re thinking.

There were a few examples during BBB, a lottery purchase was somehow processed by the clerk and/or system as “non-fuel” (and not as lottery). You’ll have to search those threads for info. Too hard to try to explain the quirk and I don’t buy lottery.

The $10 non qualifying excludes lottery in the fine print

Metro's offers suck this time around. Their BBB offers were the best (along with Shell's).

If it wasn't for Shell and always needing gas (I can knock off 3 BB offers in one fuel transaction), I would probably skip this event as well.

And before the Costco fanboys can comment....for regular gas in Ontario, Costco is NOT cheaper than Shell (and Esso/PCO). Not even close.

Redeem 95 AM at
  1. Safeway
  2. Sobeys
  3. IGA West
  4. Safeway Liquor
  5. Sobeys Liquor
  6. Shell
  7. And probably one of the cardlink offers, e.g., 5 AM for buying a 10$ GC at Subway.

Total cash spent: 10$ - 10$ = 0$
Total AM spent: 570 AM
Total AM earned: (5x25)+10+5+20 = 160 AM
Total AM earned, including BB: 160 + 300 = 460 AM.

Total cost: 570-460 = 110 AM, which can probably be partly covered by BAM earned at the grocery/liquor stores.
