There's a strike going on, w/ some hotels.
so there aren't amenities.

As well, protestors making noise all night.

Check by calling the hotel prior to booking.

Heard some people didn't know about the strike until they were at check in desk.

I have and the weather was a mix of rain and sun. You will be at the tail end of the rainy season. Here is what Thomas Cook has to say:

What’s the weather like in Hawaii in March? Located in the Pacific Ocean, the islands of Hawaii have a tropical climate with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures making this the perfect destination for beach holidays. The rainy season lasts from November to March, so although it’s still wet at this time of year, the rain gets less and less common as the month goes on. If you want to avoid the high season crowds and don’t mind the occasional rain shower, March is a great month to visit Hawaii.

Averages: In March, the islands of Hawaii have an average daytime temperature of 24°C, with highs of 26°C in the peak of the day. Although it’s not overly hot, you’ll still need plenty of sun cream to protect your skin from the strong UV rays. There are around 19 days of rain during this month, but showers are usually short and sharp as just 90mm of rain is forecast during the month. The sea is a lovely 24°C in March, perfect for swimming, snorkelling and surfing.

Island wide averages don't work with Hawaii. The Big Island has 11 temperate zones. Your location on the islands is key. This site has great weather info for each island, with averages for specific locations and great rainfall maps for each island.

Are you referring to the Marriott Strike? It ended yesterday.
