No SSD and most likely tons of bloatware, why would they do that

You can build the same thing with just a different case for under $1300, no?

Definitely not warm, let alone hot. You are paying for the name, not for the hardware.

Do a custom build through NCIX. You can get a better bang for buck picking parts and they build it for $50. Id opt for the i5 6500 for a few dollars more as it is 500mhz faster than 6400 and def get a ssd. Crucial MX 200 is my pick. Maybe also wait a few more days for AMD's 480 release.

If I were looking for a performance rig, I would look into DIY. Just last 2 weeks there were good sales like 6700k/Gaming 7 combo for 569$ at Newegg and Fractal R4 for 85$ at NCIX

Most people buy alien ware because
1. they don't know how to build one. or the hassle of risking failures. Remember when you build yourself, you carry the risk, if there is 10% of chance that anything can burn up in the building you are looking to lose everything.

2. Softwares cost. You might be able to build it, but what about the OS and other stuff come with it? Sure you "might get them for free" in some way but most people don't want to risk their rig for it..only kids would go for free stuff these days because they can't make money.

3. Alienware have quality, sure you can go buy cheap parts and bring it together, alienware is known for their quality at least you dont have to worry about breaking since they can take the whole thing and warranty it. unless you enjoy RMA each parts

Alright guys thanks for the tips lol!! I should have mentioned that I already have a Mx200 SSD and that the build carries also a dell card of around $100 (lowering the price in effect to 1549) but i get the point...DIY is the way to go...I guess I was too lazy and got sidetracked by that 1070 founders!
