Aliexpress superdeal 100w usbc cable 0.68

Deal Link:
Price:
0.68
Retailer:
aliexpress
Not sure if it is targeted, I opened aliexpress today, and got a super deal, many items are on "sale". I don't expect high quality, but the price is too good in my opinion.

If the link doesn't work, you may want to open your aliexpress app.

That microsd card may have accidentally swapped a 'G' with that 'T'.

I think you are wrong. I think it's a K instead.

100w over a 68 cent USB C cable sounds very safe guys, don't worry your laptop will not burn down in a fiery spectacle and neither will your house.

it's 20v max. so unless you are planning on dipping the cable in gasoline, there is no way in hell that it will catch fire due to the 100w (5A @ 20v) charging .

AliExpress cables are "buyer beware." I bought one of these sale cables once and my BIL borrowed it before I'd tested it and it caused big issues with both his phone and mirrorless camera, fortunately not permanent.

If they mess up the wiring of these cables it can fry electronics and brick your phone, your computer - or your car.

that's not a problem with AliExpress, that's a problem with buying crappy cables without reading the reviews. All my cables are AliExpress cables and they all work fantastic, often better than many OEM ones.

If you guy want a nice deal on a USB-C 100W cable here is this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004794600545.html
2.91 USD for 1m
3.47 USD for 2m
This is a realistic price and the reviews kind of speak for themselves.

And here is the brand that OP mentioned, it's pretty much the same price as above. the reviews are great by the way, so the people who are talking about things setting on fire and wiring being wrong really have no idea what they are talking about, sorry
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005161716475.html
2.90 USD for 1m
3.98 USD for 2m

OP what you shared is a "welcome deal". It means that they give you a few bucks off for registering with Aliexpress. Not a deal on the cable. and the URL you shared doesn't work.

Guess you've never seen the sparks off a shorted 12 V car battery.

Car battery is 500A, this is 5A =D

Yes, 20V @ 5A can generate some tiny sparks too, hence it can definitely catch fire if you dip it in gasoline. Otherwise not so much.
