kinda ot but 100$ ish can u get u an sammy s8 via walmart koodo tab cancellation...zero down on medium tab + 350$gc at wally YMMV , s8 prolly faster and better overall phone then a5 pro... better cpu faster , better screen, has b66 band too? only thing the a5 pro beats it is the dual sims and bigger screen , if i had 120$ to spend, i'd get the s8 imo, course im OT and ymmv lol
Sigh, why do people always have to compare something than can be easily ordered in under 5 min, with a scheme that involves credit checks, signing up, canceling etc.

Because you can get alot more for alot less.

As for your statement, if you are a current customer of Koodo you likely won't have another credit check (they cache old results), and even if they did: credit checks don't harm you in any way, unless your credit is complete rubbish (in which case you probably shouldn't be buying a phone).

Signing up takes less then 5 min. Cancelling takes about 5 min on the phone.

So, whole process? About 10-15 min of your time. NOWHERE near as big a deal as you make out. And the BIGGEST difference? Phone is in my hand 5 min into the process. You may have spent 5 min ordering your phone, but them you have potentially months to wait before you get it. Fun.

Look, I've done both ways, I've waited for a month to get my phone, I've bought and cancelled, both ways have their benefits.

This is RFD, people here go nuts to save $1, when we're talking about $200? 15 min doesn't seem to bad to most of us.

This is going WAY off topic. Have fun with your Koodo schemes.

Despite getting the shipping email yesterday, mine looks like it hasn't made it into the hands of any couriers yet.
It still just says "Order information received by carrier"

It might be a DHL/Fedex like express service and CP will be collecting tax and fees. Keep an eye out.

I chose DHL because it's been practically next-day delivery in my experience. Anyone have a DHL order ship yet?

I agree. Seems odd that it arrived in Canada 3 days after being shipped out from China.
