Wow I'm surprised by how much the price has dropped in the last couple months

Also looks like the Mi5 has also dropped down to 314 USD. probably the cheapest phone with a SD820 at the moment.

MI5 will be $260 in the coming months, still waiting for the MIUI 8 to mature

$260 is the original price, the reason why it is inflated is the demand too high. but since production ramp up it will come down

im pretty sure the msrp from xiaomi was $300 USD. unless they did an official price drop too. The resellers were definitely jacking up the prices very high.

what should I expect for customs charges?

Also, from what I can tell this phone cannot work with LTE on telus in alberta. Can someone double check please?

Perfect? No. Excellent? Fast? Yes.

Has anybody installed a variant of the cyanogenmod ROM? Experience? Install notes? Thanks!

How is this not a smoking hot deal?

What is it that would hold someone back? I don't see a phone for around ~$250 CAD with these types of specs. Supposedly a great battery.

I just ordered the Letv Le1 Pro x800. Better specs although admittedly the Xiaomi seems to have better software support.

CM13 still has a couple bugs, the CM13 fly posted I cannot get GPS to work at all, and in-call audio needs a text file edited. Everything else is good though, it'll get over 10 hours SoT on CM13 and stock ROM.

Just make sure to get the 3gb version and not 2gb for this phone.

I think the thing that holds most people back is the lack of LTE. So some are SOL. I might actually pick this up, I have to make 100% sure it works on my carrier lol.

This pro version does support all if not most LTE bands from the big 3.

The MTK version lacks LTE support and is pretty much good for rogers only.

You're right, somehow I looked at the MTK Note 3 specs and not the 3 Pro with the 650. Thanks.
