So, no huge sale starting on the 15th?

It better be good, as prices actually went up (few dollars for the x3 pro and a twenty-something for the F3).

I too thought it was the 15th.
Oh well, still hope I guess because the prices have gone up, and I'm not gonna buy either one until they have a good deal on them.
At the end of the day, it's still a Chinese phone that will take at least a month to get here, plus whatever duties you may be unlucky enough to get charged with.
Not to mention the lack of comprehensive bands coverage.
It's gotta be a good deal to be worth it.

For the records, all reports here talk about 2-3 weeks transit time and no extra fees at delivery (they use canada post and probably misrepresent the item and its value).
F3 covers most bands needed for all Canadian carriers.
X3 pro was reported upthread to work on bands not even advertised to be compatible (??)

The new Umidigi Power 5 is on sale for $120ish on Aliexpress. Definitely a low speced phone but it does have Android 11 and full Freedom bands support.

Although I liked Xiaomi and Poco phones, I have had to move away from them due to the very poor Canadian band support on recent low end models. Paying $400+ for a China phone (Poco F3) doesn't sit well with me, too much risk.

Well if there is no coupon then the F3 price is exactly what it was with the coupon last month. Looks like another AliFake sale.

BTW the shipping time for mine was 11 days. Probably another 3 days for it to be shipped. No customs fees.

The seller coupons are still active (for now), it's a bummer though, whatever a few dollars saved would be diminished by the extended delays in processing (because of the site-wide sale), regretting waiting to be honest.

Has 3 Freedom bands. It also has 5G band 66, which is I think used by Bell\Telus.
At the moment only the 4/64GB version is showing up for me.
It is supposed to be exactly the same inside as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G.
Do note that unlike the rest of the Redmi Note 10 phones, these 2 have an IPS screen, not AMOLED.
Then again, the POCO is C$220.

I'd like to buy the Xiaomi version, but Chinese sellers would not ship to Canada, can't find it anywhere at a good price.
Anybody used wirelessplace.com ?
I don't see any warranty info on their site on any of the phones they sell.
They might not ship to Canada, but I could probably work around that.

Does this have a full set of Canadian 4G and 3G bands? I don't care much about 5G.

Is there a 128 GB version available via another seller? It's sold out at the link above. It's frankly a lot of coin for a 4/64 Chinese phone. It's roughly double the price of the Umidigi Power 5 I just bought for $120 cdn shipped.

Does anyone have this new Poco M3 Pro 5G yet in their hands? If so, what have your experiences been? No stereo speakers is a bit disappointing in this price range.

I see your point but to be honest I wouldn't call Canadian band support for something like the $200 M3 pro "very poor" by any stretch of imagination :)

Thanks for the info. Is this the cheapest option in the Xiaomi / Poco world for full Canadian band support? I really don't need 5G support or care about it.

Hmmm - with the sale coming up maybe it's time to grab my partner a new phone. What's the closest one to a Note 5 I guess in full size since she said she didnt want one bigger than that

Google Pixel 3 is currently $160 USD at BH Photo, today only. 5.5" screen and likely a better deal than anything in this thread right now.

2018 Pixel 3 is actually pretty dated to even find comparison videos for it with anything in this thread, but spec wise both the F3 and X3 Pro beats the Pixel 3 in every single aspect.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?i ... one3=10802

Software is a different story, though Google support ends in October for Pixel 3 anyway (but those with moderate googling abilities know how to get comparable stellar support from the AOSP community whether it's for the Pixel or any of the 3 phones mentioned in this thread), still $160 for the Pixel 3 isn't that bad at all (I think it went OOS already).
