Canada, Eh!!
Check the all weather tires thread
July 13, 2017 to October 25, 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime rate next day each time.

2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited and waited to drop its prime rate to include all 3 drops.

Depends on your location and weather you drive in.
I decided to try out some All-weathers this time around as I've not been driving a ton this year, and around here stuff gets cleared up fairly quickly in the winter. We will see how it goes...

All weather tires are supposed to be a replacement for All season tires IF you cannot have a set of dedicated winter tires. The all weather tires will be better then all seasons in the snow but will not be better then Winter tires in the snow.

So no do not buy all weather instead of Winter tires, buy some new good winter tires unless you live in like BC or somewhere that does not get much snow/ice

Also good for some that live in QC where winter tires are a legal requirement for part of the year . Some don't have a place to store dedicated winter tires, so they end up having to drive all year on winter tires. All-weather tires gives those folks a legal winter tire that performs better in summer.
