[Amazon.ca] $1428 - Nikon Z50 w/ 16-50mm Lens & FTZ Adapter

Seems like a decent deal for a camera that just came out. Compared to other APS-C mirrorless cameras this has better ergo and with the included FTZ adapter you can use their F-mount lenses which is still a wider selection than any mirrorless lens mount.

How about price in title?

Unless you already own a ton of Nikon lenses, I would go for the Sony. I have Nikon FX bodies and the Sony. The Sony is a great camera

No, the A7ii is never the right answer because it's god awful to use. Awful menus, slow response time, no focus point joystick or touch screen AF selection. It's a usability nightmare. It takes nice pictures though once you correct for Sony's terrible colour profile.

Until you stick with kit lens. Any decent lens from Sony more expensive than Nikon 's one and in many cases doubles the price.

You don't need to buy Sony lens only. There are 3rd party lens that can be had for a fraction of the cost.

I shoot Canon / Nikon / Sony so here is my take:

This is waaaay too much money for a APS-C mirrorless. Additionally, Nikon is really struggling financially so I wouldn't want to be a guinea pig with their new models. Lots of people already got burned when the Nikon 1 line collapsed.

Just get a Sony A6000 for 1/3 of the cost. Or if you don't mind a DSLR, a used D3200 for 1/6 the cost.
