Last year was the 1000VA on sale for $99 but this may be the best deal for this type of UPS this year as it is even cheaper than the 850VA one and usually goes around $290,

Good protection for all your RFDed gadgets. :p

Don't forget about eBates too.

Best price for the unit. Same price as it was two years ago, and the price didn't last long when it was this low.

How is cyberpower compared to apc? My apc battery is starting to fail checks once in a while and it's almost 4 years old now

Thanks, ordered one. According to Camel3, the lowest price was $194 in Aug 2013, but "Amazon no longer sharing price data with Camel" .

Ordered one, this is exactly what I wanted. Now all I need is a line conditioner on sale. Or else I could just find an old 2000 va 120 - 240 volt multitap isolation transformer I can use.

I've had my NAS hooked up to a similar unit for a few years. It works fine but the % remaining is unreliable...it will drop very quickly after staying at a high % remaining for a while.

Honestly I like Cyberpower more than APC due to personal experience as my APC unit were noisy but both brand are reliable. Of course it all depend on the feature you need and the price level you want to pay.

If you like your current APC, perhaps that you can check out the replacement battery price.

If the user's battery got depleted in 5 second, I think that his claim on waveform may not be countable since it is a faulty unit per the description.

Anyway, it gives me a good idea to test the existing UPS by power draining them purposely. Anyone has better idea?

FYI - looks like eBates on this one would only be 1% (i.e. Electronics)?

Like I've said in other posts, hope you don't get one like I got. Still have to wear a gas mask to be around it.

I read about your experience and thank you for your input. Can you remind me about how and who handle the warranty as that is definitely big part of purchasing decision too.

Thanks for posting! I tried to price match and the live chat rep said they can't price match because it's sold by Amazon. Is this actually true or should I try another rep?

Don't know as I am happy with discount from Amazon already but I would suggest to try with other CSR/Rep. Good luck finding a "helpful" one.
