I have two of these installed. They work great.

3rd one sitting in a box because I have not decided where to install it.

From Microsoft store? That deal didn't last long if I remember. $20 is the typical low point for these sales.

Yeah. Bought a bunch from that sale.

$20 is pretty standard now. Goes down to this every few weeks.

We have a bunch of these. They work great. Even in my shed that is over 20feet away.

Do most modern homes have a neutral wire or should I check before buying?

If the home is built in the mid 80's or later then it likely has a neutral wire. I would still check. It only takes a few minutes.

Just bought another to add to my collection of 15+ installed all over the house. It's nice to be able to set up creative commands with the help of Google to turn certain lights on and off.

"Hey Google, Good night"
"Hey Google, movie time"

I have around 20 of these and never have this issue except if the switch is updating (infrequent) or if my router is having an issue. I wonder if perhaps the issue is your router. These light switches are usually quite stable.

i had that issue when i first installed mine. turns out the switch cover was touching the reset button so the light would keep factory resetting itself. once i made the adjustment i've never had an issue with it

I have a few of the HS200 and several of the mini switches. One mini switch started failing. Several weeks later, the 2.4 ghz signal oh my wifi router failed. When I got a new “router” (Velop setup actually), the switch worked fine.
