[Amazon.ca] 1917 movie (4k) - $17.99

Based on CCC, it is matching the all time low but probably went lower during the pre Black Friday crazy 4k movie deals event that I missed out on.

Ship 2-4 weeks

This movie looks amazing on 4K in my opinion. If it's your type of movie, I'd definitely recommend owning it on 4K disc.

Great movie if you enjoy war movies. And even better if you have a decent home theater setup, especially Dolby Atmos. The movie was well reviewed by many outlets and audio and video quality is 5 stars across the board.

8.3IMDB 89% Rotten Tomatoes 78% metacritic 92% Google users like it. Obviously op thought it was meh, but the overwhelming majority thought it was a great movie.

Always a hard question to answer, like any movie or game that gets posted as it is based on personal taste.

However, if you look at the pure fact of the deal, this is the best price it has been for awhile and therefore on that note, its worth the purchase at this price.

Owning a movie for $18 is not bad compared to what you have paid to see it in the theatres or rent/buy vs VOD services.

With that being said, I enjoyed the move (the single shot/take style), paid to see it in the theatres (VIP) and only might buy this. I think $15 I would for sure....$18 I am on the fence.

Can't you stream this on HBO Max or Crave in 4K?

I need to rewatch this movie. I was told ahead of time about it being filmed like it's one really long shot so I spent the entire time looking for transitions and didn't really pay attention to the movie.

Overwhelming majority of people on the internet who review movies yes, but that isnt the overwhelming majority. This is why so many movies with high scores are box office bombs and multiple low rated movies are huge successes. I haven't seen it myself, I think I would probably like it. Some people dont really like war movies unless they are 100% action, I dont think this one is.

War scenography is really good and full of detail but overall is a boring movie.

Also teach you one of the main reasons why the Germans lost the war. They do have worse aim than the Stormtroopers at Star Wars.

This and Dunkirk are pure pornography for a 4k videophile. They look and sound amazing on a good setup. I watched on an XBR85Z9G being fed by a Panasonic UB-820 and this movie is one of the best looking ones I've seen in recent memory.

Wow, TIL that Crave does not do 4K. I guess another good reason for me to not subscribe to it...
