I bought the micro 3 years ago and other than a few random periods where it would disconnect from my laptop every 45 minutes (may have been the laptops issue) it's been awesome. And I've used it A TON. Every day in the shower as I shower, all night every night in the summer when the AC is on & I can't hear my reg bedroom speaker without blaring the volume & when I travel, big chunks of the day as I listen to audiobooks when I do chores, tons of phone calls and zoom meetings....

I can't speak of it vs today's new gen Bluetooth speakers but I have never regretted buying this.
