[Amazon.ca] $200 lexar play 1TB microSD for Steamdeck Amazon

Good price on a fast, reliable microSD, great for the upcoming steam deck or Nintendo switch.

Maybe better deals coming for BF?

Hoarding flash memory in advance hasn't made sense, historically, because of the steady decrease in prices over time. There seems to be a sharp increase in cost per GB going from 512 GB to 1 TB, so that's even more likely to come down over time, I'd guess. Does the OP know something I don't?

I agree generally, but there are some concerns of higher inflation if the US passes their multiple rounds of excess stimulation.

By some economist projections, inflation could exceed 10% under these situations.

This isn't a political discussion, merely a projection.

With that said, flash price deflation may more than offset any near-term price increases.

I vote to wait, but not blindly.

generally, but there has been some microSD's from amazon that are fake, even the ones shipped by amazon.ca.

only real way to know for certain is to do a read/write test on it.

prices could go up with the semiconductor shortage. The shortage resolution is at least a year away, if not more.

@Mars2012 The link still doesn't work in the OP. It's not the same as JoJoCans.

Some personal experience, my Lexar microSD doesn't work in my Switch or dashcam for some reason but works fine in my laptop.
All my other microSD cards work in both.

I would avoid buying something like this from amazon due to their shared inventory.

Easy return with Amazon tho. Do your tests and if it's fake send it back, complain and get an extra credit for your inconvenience.
