I have my Xbox Series X running on this and it is a perfect monitor for it. Crisp, no blur, and 120fps is slick. Highly recommend it.

How does this match up against the Dell S2721DGF for $449 (with coupon)?

I got one of these back in June from Best Buy. Text was blurry and default image settings were gawd awful. The issue with text blurriness is a know issue with this model. I have an IPS and TN panel and neither have this issue. Either mine was extremely defective or people are smoking some good stuff.

Asus is slightly better, however I decided on this Gigabyte M27Q- which is $343 right now which is more accurate and brighter out of the box than the Asus and Dell, also has its own KVM switch... All for less money.

Got one since last year and it's been great for gaming. Fast response and 165Hz are great combo. HDR kind of meh, but that's probably due to crappy Windows HDR.

They are very close but Asus has better contrast ratio, better out of the box calibration, and black frame insertion. I just received my S2721DGF today to use on my PC but might send it back for a 2nd Asus.

I just opened up my s2721dgf that arrived today and hooked it up to the Xbox and the Asus is day and night better IMO. Tried it with factory settings and some calibrations off the web but it definitely appears that the low contrast ratio is causing a washed out image.

Will look into the Gigabyte, but might go with a second Asus to match things up nicer.

Got one in October, been using it daily since then, and I've had none of these issues.

In fact, this is the best monitor I've ever owned. I bought this along with the xv272u and the viewsonic comparable, forget the model number, this won by a landslide.

There's a reason this is (was?) rated a top monitor.

I bought and returned this asus, and now own the dell. I MUCH prefer the Dell in every way.

I see a warehouse deals one for 371 so might be worth a chance.

Given the reviews, I'm wary of the returns. It's like TVs where open box is just returns from panel lottery.

True, but I'm hoping to win the panel lottery again because my existing one was from Best buy open box and in perfect shape. Ended up getting it for 323 after they packaged it with (decent) rocket fish cables lol.

Update, I ended up with a brand new panel in a slightly opened package. Thumbs Up Sign
