One of the reviews I noticed how much depth you need to mount these - around 10" of desk space to have the monitors flush.

Not sure if thats common for this style mount, or if theres better options.

If I'm correct, these are the types that says 'height adjustable' but it's not... atleast not on the fly. You would have to reconfigure it every time you want to raise/lower it so keep that in mind

From looking at the picture, that seems odd.... it looks like maybe 2 inches at most unless you have small monitors and want then side by side so the back arm closest to the post sticks out.

Edit. I just saw the review and picture. Very few would want the monitor flush with the wall.... They would be too far for a typical sized desk.

As a person who has just recently purchased these, I can honestly say it's not as easy as it looks. There are a lot of tweaks that need to be done to make things just right. With this one, don't expect to be able to twist monitors around at will and expect them to go back to the same place as before.

As per @U4IA comment, this is somewhat correct. I measure 8 inches for 2 monitors. Expect way more for a 3 monitor set up.

Some other factors to consider. There will be a gap between the back of the desk and the wall. It will not be flush. Furthermore, this does not have a proper cable management built into the back. Expect to see exposed cords if you clamp this to the back of your desk. The exposed cords will also add to the gap. To truly minimize this, best option is to first use the outter desk clamps and place all the monitors where you want them. Then trace around the base where you want them and use a hole saw cutter. By doing this, not only can your desk be fully flushed with the wall but you can stream the cords down the hollow pipe to under your desk for better cord management.

Hope this helps someone who buys these.

It really depends on desk size and how much real estate you want on your desk. The "Industry" says your monitors should be a few inches passed the length of your arm. I don't think they had this in mind when monitor sizes got bigger. I have 3 27 inch monitors. I have them a foot away from my reach. So it's really about the size of your monitor I guess.

if you're doing dual monitor set up, I highly recommend this one:

HUANUO Dual Monitor Mount Stand

been using this for more than 3 months now and no issues and much stable compared to the other one.

I am currently using two 27 inch monitors.
Good luck!

Any recommendations for a dual 27" monitor arm? Doesn't have to be super fancy, but maybe a bit more durable/premium than this one.

i went with 2 single arm instead for my dual 27 screen setup. it's easier to manage placement of monitors with 2 single arms. this is the one i ordered, https://huanuoav.com/products/hnss11-1- ... nch-screen. It was over 60% off on Amazon US couple week back, i ordered 2 of them at about $40 each including shipping to Canada. First one arrived on wed, installed it and works good with my 27" LG monitor. the 2nd order should be arriving today.

Any opinions on Huanuo vs Vivo? I'm looking for 2x single mounts for 27" monitors.

The best option is two single mount stands to give you the most flexibility.

Hmmm been looking for a dual monitor arm to have 27" BenQ's side by side. No need to adjust as i prefer the simple 1x1 config. I have very little clearance to the wall with my Karlby and eying this one...

https://www.amazon.ca/VIVO-Monitor-Adju ... 477&sr=8-5

I could pull my desk out about 3-4 inches but the issue is the Karlby is only 25" deep.

Unless you never pull the monitors forward, buy two single arms.

I went from a dual mount to singles due to this, since you cannot fully pull both monitors forward at once.

I think Vivo and Huanuo are similar in quality. both make a tons of different models, so make sure you are compare similar models and spec, check reviews and comments on quality or screen size and weight limit. The Huanuo hnss11-1 model I bought support 35 inch and higher weight limit and it has 0 issue with 27 inch. i had to lower the tension a lot to keep the arm down. it does have some plastic components but otherwise heavy and well built, overkill for 27 inch really. the next level up would be something like amazonbasics which is 3x cost.

I doubt I would ever pull them forward being a 25" deep desk. I'll look into single mounts even though it will probably cost me more than the VIVO.
