Open your box (assuming you are adding this to a desktop) to see if you have an extra power connector. Most PCs have extras.

You could use that cable if it adds connectors, or just get a splitter to extend an existing cable.

Amazon has the sata cable and sata power cable too so I'll be getting those.

Question: I'm not sure if there are available power connections from my power supply left. What do I do about that? Buy something like this?

Corsair CP-8920189 Premium Individually Sleeved SATA Cable, White

I'm a noobie :(

Just make a new Amazon account with a different email address and you'll get a Prime for 30 days trial for free.

Amazon knows about that loophole and they don't care. :)

If you go for that cable, make sure you have the connector on your motherboard.
? It looks like a 6 pin connector?
? Sometimes used by a GPU?

Even if you get 4 extra power connectors, don't go nuts and plug 3 extra hard drives with the new SSD, your motherboard or power supply might not like it.
One extra SSD is nothing though.

I would prefer MX500 or Samsung 860 evo but if you can't wait (prices are headed down) it's a good price. Thread upvoted.

Try to get the 8% cash back from ebates.

Link to the item on their site? I only see it through a marketplace seller.

Thanks. I did some research and looks like the WD drive is slower by 2% - 10%, also it's newer to the game so may have more bugs. I ordered it anyways because of the 8% ebates :P

Update on my purchase: I bought it and received it. Benchmarks were fast, however there were 261 "Total Bad Blocks" according to Western Digital SSD Dashboard. This seems like a lot. Did anyone else get this many bad blocks?
