As a person that likes to dabble in these budget Chinese projectors, I have tried a whole bunch on Amazon and I promise they are not as horrible as people here seem to think. Now obviously they are nothing like my OLED but they are actually decent. I would suggest sticking with the Vankyo and Artlii brands. I'm receiving a 720p Artlii unit tomorrow which went for 143$ and these projectors never have tax on Amazon as well. Anyways, just thought I'd throw in my two cents on the subject, as I've noticed they get a lot of hate on RFD forums. They aren't Epson or benq quality but not everyone wants to pay 500+ for a projector that'll be used on occasions.
Maybe I can build a house with all the boxes from stuff I've bought off RFD
