The Assassin’s Creed franchise is great but their games lose their value very fast for some reason. Wait a few weeks and you’ll be able to pick up AC Valhalla for $20-$30 or so.

This is a tired franchise based on uncompelling razor thin mechanics that they keep rehashing because of the name Assassins Creed and theyre too chicken shit to spend the big budget on new IPs.

TLDR buy this for $15 on sale next year like every version before.

Well said. Will wait for $20-$25 just like I did with Origins and Odyssey. Ubisoft has to be the most garbage video game developer atm. I wonder if its the lack of talent or greed or maybe both. They strive for zero innovation in their games and all their stuff is just a copy paste of each other. Division, watch dogs, Ghost Recon, AC all play exactly like each other. It's almost like the managers and corporate weirdos have a template with a bunch of checkmarks to add the features and mechanics to their games. Its bizarre.

This happens when a bunch of people who have never picked up a controller in their life dictate how video games should be made.

Rehash or not I’ve always enjoyed AC games, but they lost me on Odyssey as I’m not into RPG and it felt too much like one. I stopped it pretty quickly. Is it safe to assume that means I won’t enjoy this one either?

Honestly at this point try it out , once the sale is over you can get minimum $40 out of it if you buy the physical version , well worth the risk . I heard the mechanics are the same but the story is good , if you love vikings you should still be able to enjoy it

Hmmm, I wonder if you've actually played an AC game recently. I completely understand that's the prevailing sentiment, but I just played my first AC game in years in Odyssey and most of your statements just aren't true.

It's obvious they've stolen the best ideas from all over the game world like Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, but the package they put together works.

I thought Odyssey was great. Ridiculously huge scale, beautiful believable world, excellent voice acting, pretty epic feeling story/quest lines, and by the end you feel like a god as you end all the major quest lines and your skills/loot level up.

I'll definitely be playing Valhalla soon, but the other comments are correct, AC games always drop quickly in price.

It is like odyssey and origins so doubt you'd enjoy it

I guess they would but depending on where you live, also supposed to have a storm on Christmas Boxing Day in T.O, you want to line up for all the pick up orders?
I doubt they would process them for pickup same day or next even?
Who knows how this will play out now that I think of it.

I am just price matched the PS5 version from Amazon and did in store pickup today. Rather have physical for less price than digital copy.

Really good game, but it overstays its welcome some. Its around twice as long as some of the other assassins creed games.

Too bad digital is $59.99 then it would just be a 20 minute wait for the download.
