in for 1
Why is this bad for a main monitor? Currently I have a 60hz

colors are probably pretty mediocre. it is 4ms VA which is awful for gaming. It is a great monitor if you have it sitting beside a main gaming monitor... hoping for a 165hz 1440p deal on BF to sit beside this lil guy. I dont want 1 165hz monitor and 1 60hz. which makes this a perfect secondary.

What is a good spec for gaming? I thought anything less than 5ms was good.

big fat tvs from 2005 were 5 ms.

in this generation of gaming you need 1 ms to be on an even playing field with the people who already priced up. i think you could get away with 165hz 1ms though. depends on the game you`re playing and if your opponent is getting 240fps or not. if i was playing a game that got a stable 244 fps with my system id need the matching monitor.

Thanks for the info. I don't mean to derail this thread but I have 1 more question. What's the difference between 5ms (GTGσ) and 5ms VA? My current monitor (which I also use for gaming) has 5ms (GTGσ).

Did anyone else choose "Ship in Amazon Packaging" and it didn't ship in Amazon packaging?

Mine was sitting in the snow in OEM packaging... not an Amazon box... Not impressed...
