[Amazon.ca] ADATA XPG 8200 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD - $219.99 (No Tax, Prime Shipping)

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07K1J ... O5LPTDY3LN

Have a run at this pro-level drive for an unprecedentedly low price (possibly lowest ever... possibly).

No tax => Effective Pre-Tax Cost = $194.68 (in High Tax Ontario)

Credit to our good friend, @chatbox for the direct seller link, added above.

God bless.

Really good price! Sub $200 pre-tax. Will probably pull the trigger now.

Do they have 2tb drive or is 1tb the max you can get?

1TB is the max, this was designed to compete with the 970 PRO which also maxed out at 1TB. The 970 PRO and 970 EVO Plus remain laughably expensive though.

I've previously recommended the following, to address your concern:

Boot Drive: XPG 8200 Pro 1TB
OS, mission critical applications, and files.

Secondary: Intel 660p 2TB (or equivalently priced QLC)
STEAM library, large media, frequently accessed oversized files.

Tertiary (Optional): > 4TB HDD
Archive and legacy.

For reference, here's what i currently have in my pc purchased over a span of 2 years (with prices at the time of purchase). Would have bought the XPG in a heartbeat instead of the 960 evo two years ago.

I just bought it this week. I'm going to ask for a partial refund.

There's a glut of Samsung components expected to depress prices through 2019, this is a problem with multiple component producers in SE Asia.

Waiting may be optimal, but July is only 2 months from now, and I'm not seeing 2020-era SSDs on the horizon yet.

We're men of finite lives, I can't make the judgement call for you.

My mobo has 4 available m.2 slots 2 on the board and 2 on a dimm slot. I just want to be sure before I add more drives to the build that all 4 can work with gpu’s in sli

M.2 Slots (12 CPU lanes in total / 4 via PCH)

M2_1 Onboard (between PCIEX16_2 and PCIEX16_3) -> PCI Express 3.0 4x via PCH

M2_2 Onboard (between PCIEX16_1 and PCIEX16_2) -> PCI Express 3.0 4x via CPU

DIMM.2_1 Module -> PCI Express 3.0 4x via CPU

DIMM.2_2 Module -> PCI Express 3.0 4x via CPU

I got that break down from the asus forums and I just would like a second opinion b4 i pull the trigger on this drive that everything will work, as this will be my 3rd m.2 nvme

My main concern is that with 4 nvme drives and 2 gpu’s it wont have enough lanes for one or more of the drives

My cpu has 44 lanes

Would like the grab this now but I really need to be sure everything will work

@brensavoyton Not sure about your pc specs, but i have a 8700k on Maximus X Hero (only 2 m.2 slots) and everything works fine with three (3) m.2s installed (two on the mobo, one on PCI). Everything is running at x4 and video card is running at x16. Because you are running 2 GPUs, each will run at x8 which is normal.
