Ikea or Dollarama has this size battery for much cheaper, not sure how quality compares, but the cheap ones are just doing fine for me.

If I open the blister pack to test, how do I store the battery to at least last a few years (unopened, it says eight years)?

I think most FOBs use these batteries? My digital luggage scale is down and I have re-used all these CR2032 I had lying around lol.

CR2032 = 2x CR2016 thickness and capacity, but they usually sell for the same price.

Both of these are name brands, but often counterfeited. Third-party sellers on Amazon.

I don't think it will make much difference if the blister package is opened or not since the batteries are supposed to be air tight anyway.

Some people store them in the fridge.

They are cheap and always on sale so there's no point in buying a lot in advance.

2032 fits most car keyless fobs, with a bit of effort. If your car has proximity key fob, good idea to keep a pack at home if you don't have dollar stores near you.

Unfortunately there's no 'low battery' warning.

I need CR2450, any idea of where I can find them for reasonable price?

They also have CR2025 (slimer) for the same price.
Check for dates on the packages: 2022 are available.
The dollarama Sunbeam ones are garbage. They drain and run out of power fast. Some didn't even last a week in my Honda fob.

if you can wait, you can buy cell batteries from china off ebay for cheap

not sure of their shelf life, but under $2 or cheaper for a pack of 5 usually

dollarama ftw if you need them right away

Seconded.

If you just need something quick, the cheap ones can work. But if you want longevity, go with something better (I tried the Sunbeam ones out for some lights - they lasted about a month vs. six months)
