[Amazon.ca] All-new Fire HD 10 tablet $150

Didn't see a post,

Not as great as the staples a little while ago but if you missed it, decent price.

Kid versions also discounted to $200

Why the 32GB and 64 GB are same price?

Returned mine after testing it out, debloated and used the toolkit too. With 3GB ram I found myself constantly closing apps or it'd get sluggish. Even comparing side by side with a Lenovo Duet with the same processor but 4GB ram the difference was noticable (maybe it's chromeos as well). Couldn't see myself using it for more than 1-2 years. Good for kids but recommend spending more for yourself if budget allows

GPS - error
Wonder how good the screen is, I would use it as a photo frame :)

Maybe new model coming on Tuesday? Though this was released not too long ago.

It's not terrible as a photo frame, it might be better to turn it into a family room smart device.

I just use mine as a tablet and productivity device with the great addon keyboard.

Wish Marvel Unlimited was available for it.

Passed on the previous deal and regretted it. In for 1 of the 64GB in black. The blue denim is showing 6-8weeks shipping.

Pretty sure they're on a 2-year cycle and this was just released this year. The HD8 will probably see an update sooner.

I have the 2019 version I bought on sale for $100. It makes for a decent consumption tablet however I notice slowdowns in the books / streaming apps and the different browsers. I initially did use the toolbox to remove Amazon stuff but it’s more annoying due to glitches so had it all restored.

Would be great if these can be modded to include a custom stock android rom though. Last I checked the custom rom scene was still work in progress due to certain locks.

You can put it in Show Mode with hands-free Alexa, making it more-or-less a 10" Echo Show - but only if you link it to a U.S. Amazon account. Feature not supported for Amazon.ca accounts.

In Show Mode you can choose what gets shown in a cycle, e.g. selected photos from your free Amazon Photos cloud storage, weather, headlines, home automation alerts. You can have the display activate automatically when the camera detects motion from a person in the area. One flaw though - that feature has a fixed period from 7am to 10pm, no way provided to adjust it. :)

Nice find, Tom.
I agree, the 64 GB at the same price as the 32 GB is a price error: buy! buy! buy!

It's unfair to compare to a $400 tablet.
