Methylparaben is an anti-fungal agent often used in a variety of cosmetics and personal-care products. It is also used as a food preservative and has the E number E218. Methylparaben is commonly used as a fungicide in Drosophila food media at 0.1%.

OOS but Great deal, normally $15. I've bought lotion on Amazon before and the lotion it's self was old and "dry". Didn't have that slightly cold/wet/moist feeling when you get a fresh one from the shelf at a store.

It's still being studied. Some research suggests its an endocrine disrupter, but it's very limited and not well studied. It's ok to avoid it. I do.

For a good alternative I'd recommend O'Keeffe's 'working hands', which contains no parabens and no pthalates. It does an amazing job for me.
