If anyone is looking for a REALLY good affordable rice cooker I highly recommend Aroma. I have had it for 7 years and use it 3 times a week and the rice is still coming out perfect.

had this for 8 years ... bought it again from walmart clearance same price.. but 50 dollars you have to pay for free shipping to home ...

Used mine twice and it broke. Doesn't get power anymore and the light doesn't turn on or anything.

Edit: While Googling to see what the problem might be before pulling the trigger, I saw that WalMart also has it on clearance for 9 dollaridoos except they have it in stock.

I've had one of these from CT a couple of years. if you don't eat rice extremely regularly and only make it once a week or a couple of times a month. this unit does the trick. good deal for the price. I'm white as rice so my ricing skills aren't great and I'm not that picky. as long as it's not all stuck together or burnt, I call it a success.
