I was thinking between the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 or this activity tracker, any opinions?

The xiaomi mi band 2 is $40 and includes a hr monitor. Battery life lasts 30ish days. Not sure how the fitbit is any better.

Thanks as always Ju. Have no clue why someone would down-vote this thread, but RFD is really becoming a tough crowd over the past years.

I have a mi band with hr monitor and I would say it's not very accurate. I've been using it about 6 months. Over the summer, when I would be out and about with the wife (and her charge hr) I would get about 1/4 of the steps she would. I'm now carrying her old fit bit in my pocket for comparison purposes, and the fitbit always shows more steps. Not by a small amount too, sometimes 1000's of steps. It seems like if I'm not moving my arm with the mi band, it records no steps. Mow the lawn, no steps. Push a shopping cart around, no steps. Go for a walk and hold someone's hand, no steps. I do like that it lasts over 30 days between charges, but wish it was more accurate. There's a number of issues with the app that people have too. I use it with an iPad, so maybe with a idevice with the health app it would be more functional, but the mi app is pretty plain. There are however reports of it overwriting data in the health app.

Maybe version 2 is better, but I probably won't bite.

I've had two Charges and not sure I would recommend it. The rubber band is not replaceable and tends to come apart over time. As I've said, I've had two. On the first one, the button (for the menu) fell off after 3 months. As it was under warranty, they replaced it for free. The second one, the button is still on, but the rubber is falling apart now after about 6 months. As it was still under warranty, they replaced it again, this time with an Alta (as they did not have any Charges in stock). So while I am not sure about the long term quality, their customer service and warranty support is top notch.

Excellent points. I just remembered now why we're getting the Charge 2 for my wife. I was just about to cancel that order and get this lower priced on, but now I remember the points about the degenerating bands.

This is the standard price for the Charge. The Charge HR is the more expensive one, and that should be going down in price with the new model that was just released.
