Lived on this in university, my roommates always altered the label to say "Purina" instead of Puritan.
Some of the stews were pretty damn good, especially for a student's budget.
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

The only thing that is worse than this crap is canned corned beef from Argentina.

Lots of sodium.
You're right, 900mg is too much. I cancelled my order, hoping it will not go through.

The sodium is the least of your worries here........look up HFCS.

This product is only suitable for dogs.

Not to mention that MSG is used twice, and there is more glucose/fructose than many other ingredients.

Sorry, but I care about my dog's health and well-being. If something is unhealthy, I am not going to feed it to my dog!

Beef stew is on sale this morning.......read the label it's is "chemical soup" more than anything.
THAT bring said it is no worse than most of the crap noodles people buy and will fill you up if you're hungry. Not everyone can make perfect food choices all the time. I certainly didn't while a student.
I'm sensitive to MSG ( makes me itchy) and am not a fan of HFCS or Canola oil so this is a no go for me. .

as an aside .... Bit surprised that RFD community doesn't have a section for batch cooking and canning.
Could make this stew very inexpensively from scratch and be assured of quality.

Stupid easy with an instant pot.
