Once you've done the throughput tests, do the capacity tests, if they report real... then you have a real one.

I once had someone try to convince me that even if all the benches reported like the real thing... maybe conniving middle men pulled this card from an authorized manufacturer batch and rebadged it SanDisk before SanDisk officially badged their product. I told him to relax and seek help.

It could be feeding false write speeds intermittently, hard to tell.

H2testw should be pretty thorough. I would try your tests again after a card format and system restart.

Far more of a market for them.

Most devices now use uSD, pretty much the only ones that don't are devices nobody seems to be buying anymore (i.e. digital cameras).

The fact that the uSD cards come with an adapter to allow them to be used as a regular SD card? Death knell for the regular SD card for most people.

For the case of a dash cam: 'high endurance' is basically the same as monster sized card, from a longevity perspective.

Get a decent USB card reader and plug it into USB 3.0.

Absolutely, hell even the machine can matter.

My old Dell laptop, with a USB3 port, manages only about 50MB/s. The same card in my modern work machine almost hits 80MB/s.

The machine can make or break the speed of the card.

Maybe my formatting it caused the slow write speed?
what settings do people normally formatt at?
it's now going to take 3 hrs to test at 17/mb

I'm going to 'slow' format this...and see what happens

The strangest thing about this result is that the components required to produce a 94.0 MB/s result in H2testw are higher-end in the flash market. Typically they short the product on both throughput and capacity, but they may be smartening up.

We can speculate, but repeated thorough testing should reveal the result. Once confirmed, back to Amazon it goes.

Was this a blank card? I am H2testw the new one now, same as the one I got last year, in the end it should say 187713 of 187714 MByte tested. In my setup, 1:48 hour writing and 58 min verifying

Speed depends on the setup, capacity number must be correct, I let it run overnight last one, looks like same for new one.

Just assume that this card is Genuine first.

Q:what would cause slower speed suddenly?
A: Temperature

so It is better let it cool a bit then try to test it again, there is no reason to keep'abusing' it.
