Firmware updates have been good, at least on the devices I have. Heard that their Android apps pings server overseas but iOS uses a US server for their IP cam notifications. Not sure how accurate that is. What I like best about Wyze is the people working there seem very legit. Saw a documentary on their founder and how he mortgaged his home to make sure employees got paid until their next round of financing. Their staff sometimes do live videos and they all seem like good people. As for security, maybe someone in the know can share more.

These Wyze products are usually much cheaper in the US from Wyze and not Amazon.com or Amazon.ca
Consider using US forwarder like mymallbox or someone else

I wouldn't say much cheaper, their products rarely go lower in the states and if so it's only by a dollar or two

Amazon is $20 US w/free shipping (select amazon seller) - https://www.amazon.com/Wyze-Labs-WLPP1- ... 234&sr=8-2
Wzye is $15 + $4 shipping - https://wyze.com/wyze-plug.html

With our current exchange, $20 US is about $28 CDN, then add in the cost of a forwarding mailbox service and you are paying more than the $30 CDN from Amazon

This is a solid price and puts it almost on par with prices in the US

Im looking for them as well. Also looking for the Wyze bulbs too. Hope they show up on Amazon in the future.
