Too bad the 8TB has a 1 drive limit while the 10TB does not...

$40/TB for another 2TB isn’t bad, I think my SATA port multipliers might be to blame for instability. Getting bigger drives and then I won’t have to use them.

Both change to qty 1 in the cart. Can't get 10 TB's. Damn.

Edit: Not sure if my orders will get cancelled, but I was able to order two more 10TB's by using two more separate orders. Hopefully, all will go through and will actually be easier on split orders if I need expense one for work.

As another option, B&H have just matched Amazon.com's price for the 10TB WD Elements external drive (B&H have free shipping to Canada, so it's a better deal for us). I and many others have shucked these and found helium-filled PMR drives that are pretty much equivalent to the WD Red drives in every way apart from warranty.

You pre-pay taxes so no nasty surprises, for BC I paid $179.62 US, which is approx $234 CAD (that's including all taxes, so almost exactly the same price as the Amazon.ca 8TB Red).

Good find on the 8 TB too.

IMO the 10TB is worth the extra 11% price premium per TB. Gotta maximize those NAS bays!
I hear ya. I think I may order a couple of the 10tb too. My two synology NASs (45tb and 96tb) are bursting at the seems.
