[Amazon.ca] AmazonBasics Book Safe - Combination Lock, Red, $5.36

Stumbled across this 'book safe'. Nothing fancy but not a bad idea for locking up stuff (passports, keys) to keep somewhat safe.

Free shipping for Prime members too.

Other styles/colours are 2-3x the cost.

Nice little portable safe, I'm sure it's never stolen.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

Who steals a plain, non Webster, "New English Dictonary"?

Now that it is on redflag, everybody knows about it. First thing to steal is the non-Webster English dictionary...where all valuables are hidden.

You could use this to hide a key to the hidden "rock" safe in your garden, so the thief has to do a scavenger hunt to steal your stuff.

Don't think millennials have the attention span for scavenger hunts, so you might be safe there, except the rock part..

This is good to hide ID cards and small documents but not money - there are better options. I've been converting the money I'm hiding from my wife into bitcoins.

13-15$ now

Amazon saw too many people looking at it

When that goes down, Amazon often drops the price again, check back again in a couple hours after the RFD effect diminishes
