You're reaching with your logical inquiries, I just posted something from reddit that contradicts that.

On the plus side, the 3900X should be able to render this 'rocket' in real time:

I read somewhere that these new amd mobos with PCE 4.0 are on the high temperatures and NVME sufers like hell.

That's why some of the PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives have large heat sinks.

Well... if this arrives my Zen 2 build just went from budget to BALLER! Still ordered the 3400G error too.. as it's in stock and will let me get running with no discrete GPU to play around with it. Fingers Crossed! $700 in CPUs from price errors.. RFD "Savings" in full effect.

With The way Nvdia is pricing, that might take some time. Nvidia is getting greedier and greedier with every new generation.

I'm not buying a board until the CPU is in my house. If I get a 3800x I'm sending it back and probably not doing the build

Yeah, i mean even with big heat sinks. I believe it was in Linus youtube channel that they mentioned the issue in their review of AMDs new lineup.

Even for a 3800x this is a pretty good deal. I don't expect black friday deals to be nowhere near these prices.

I've said this already.

I will NOT accept a 3800X.

Amazon knows most folks won't accept what they did not order.

They'll either give us the 3900X promised or an email and credit, and the latter would leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Ya, the GTX 1070 cards can drop in price any day now since the 2k series have been out for a few months.

In for one! Will this arrive faster than my 3700x? Will I wait? Only time will tell. But what's certain is my upcoming heart attack on my credit card statement. Love you RFD!

Me too. Otherwise I'll stick with using my laptop as my desktop through a docking station. 3900x or nothing.

this is 528 + tax = $597, on other sites is 690~ + tax = $780. you save about $185~ or more depending if you gotta pay for shipping on other sites. pretty sure amazon charges you when the item gets shipped out, and if anything you can easily return it. well worth ordering imo.

I think I just got baited into getting this even though I already have the 3700X on the way.

If I do end up getting the 3800X, I've heard the price/performance ratio isn't that worth it over the 3700X. Any thoughts?

Does anyone else have a spouse or partner who would kick your azz if they were to find out you spent $600 on a computer part?
