how come you deleted your post about Ryzen 5 3400g? Didn’t memory express ship the item to you after submitting the price beat?

Question for those who have the Ryzen 3/5 3200G/3400G, is a BIOS flash necessary for the a B450 mobo to support these CPUs? Since these CPUs are not Zen 2 (they are Zen+, like the Ryzen 2000 series), I am wondering whether the flash is needed.
It depends on when you bought the mobo. If it's new enough (even though a previous gen chipset) the manufacturer will have the latest BIOS on it.

Lots of mobos these days also let you flash without a CPU mounted via USB, so that is also an option.

I had a chat with them about them sending me wrong cpu, they sent me a label and now they said my account is been locked because I sent back a different part.

You'd still have an account if you sent them back a 3400G :) /s

I paid for a 3400G and they shipped a 3200. How is it my fault?

I included the /s for sarcasm. The irony is they probably are looking to get back a 3400G as that's what you ordered in the first place. So they're penalizing you twice. What a shit company.

Contact account specialists and clarify the situation. The person who processed your return probably slacked off and only checked the item name, not the serial number or ASIN. It's not your fault so you be able to get your account back.

A few minutes ago "my orders" still showed that a 3400g was what was being shipped. Then I searched for 3400G and the list of cpus now showed a 3200G for $140. BUT
the listing still mentions "4 GHz Ryzen 3 2200G" . They just can't get it right! Now my order shows a 3200G coming my way. At least I won't get banned for returning the "wrong" cpu like poster EEE2

just checked and mine still shows that i ordered a 3400g. I was assured by 2 different customer service reps, once before i ordered and again after i ordered, as i found this thread, that i would be receiving the 3400g. will not be happy if i have to contact them a 3rd time.

Not sure what to do after reading through replies in this thread. Got the 3200g obviously but not sure what my next steps should be since Amazon is being idiotic about it. I mean, they're also terrible that they won't exchange a defective item for me in another scenario.

Received the 3200g as well, contacted amazon all they would do is initiate a return. they apparently dont have any 3400g in stock that are sold and shipped by amazon so they cant do a replacement. what a joke....

3200G. Not surprised, but concerned about getting dinged as a fraudulent return due to the mistakes. How are you contacting Amazon support?
