So is this processor decent for modern use content creation, specifically photoshop and learning after effects? Or will any intel dual core run rings around it? Is this equivalent to intel celeron processors?

How loud is the stock fan on this? Good for htpc use?

Thanks.

equivalent to intel 4c/8t ? It will probably run runs around intel dual core. I am going to use this in a htpc.

What a positive good decorum thread. No hustle and bustle.

3400G vs 2600
https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/A ... 5156vs3955

2600 is close to 10% faster. It's $180, this chip is $140.

We might have a winner with the 3400G, depending on if you can source a cheap mobo.
Don't disregard the fact that 3400G has built-in GPU, which has sufficient power for every-day browsing and other light weight GPU work. Better than intel HD graphics.

It will do more then lite GPU work. 1080p gaming at 60fps w/medium settings in alot of games.
I have the 4c/4t 2200g (3.7mhz / 1100mhz x8 Vega units) and if you leave the CPU stock and overclock the GPU to 1550-1600mhz - it will run mid 60's *C (stock cooler) and give surprising performance. I ran iRacing (fairly lite graphics game) @ 1080p locked to 75fps with graphics preset on high. Worked great. Also, not that I play it, but it does Fornite at 1080p 60fps no problem either.
This 3400g has twice the threads, slightly more clock boost and 11 Vega compute units - so if the GPU part hits even 1500mhz it would be well served as a budget gaming PC.

. my experience, they ship what is in the description and specs instead of what is in the title, so I didn't get anything I didn't want, but I would recommend waiting until they fix it or contacting them directly if you want to be sure.
what a review said.

No gaming just want 60fps youtube 4k vids. I have rx460 card
Grab an R9 285, 380 or 380x GPU. They all do 8K60 with legendary Tonga architecture decode.

Assuming he means watching those YouTube vids (and not creating them), his RX 460 should work just fine. It supports VP9 decoding.

Lol why can't the 3600X have a price error too?!

I feel it's the best bang for the buck from AMD at the moment. Better single clock score than Intel AND the 3900X (the multi-thread on the 3900X would wreck it though). And $200 cheaper!

Unless I'm missing something...
3600x is terrible value. 3600 is good though
