With such a small price difference, I rather deal with Amazon. Eff CC. I hope those guys go out of business.

I'm tempted only because there's still no GPU stock and I haven't upgraded anything in a while even though this will likely have no real life performance gains over my 3700x during gaming and web browsing.

We got a problem bro. Don’t do it. I got a 5900x with the same itch as you before.

Just do what I do... run MS Flight Simulator in the background while working.

I'm starting to notice a trend. Many businesses, though not all, that lean heavy on Canadian branding to sell their products... tend to betray their customers in other areas.

Meanwhile mega-corporate overlord Lex Luthor-type, Jeff Bezos, has accorded himself like a business associate and personal friend on many an occasion. Notwithstanding the occasional weak customer service agent.

The 5950X PassMark score is 46,125. Many of us are begging for a CPU scoring 1500 or 3000 on cheap mobile platforms.

You guys are exagerating. If they are not there where would we go if we need a part quickly and can’t wait for shipping?

You suck it up and wait for Amazon to ship it to you next day

Any small/local computer parts shop. Anywhere but Canada-Shafters.

I think its just that Canadian brands are much smaller and usually can't burn money without risking going out of business. Amazon has the money to buy public opinion with blind return policies and support.

That being said, I never had a bad experience with Canada Computers and buy almost all my parts from their local store.

possible XT / zen3+ refresh before Q4 21 ends.
if you are patient could wait, maybe get lucky too and get a AMD gpu at msrp on a Thursday 10am EST drop.... sub 2k 5950x/6800xt build should be possible in a few months

They will probably increase the prices by $50-$100 again for the "XT" version.

i'm on a 3950x and there's honestly no point getting such a beefy CPU unless you do dev and need fast compile times.
only price errors are true deals - such is the philosophy of RFD.

Try returning something and watch the $hitshow in action.

Yes, Amazon allows you to return CPU but CC doesn't accept CPU returns anymore.
