Yeah there’s an issue with double ding sound not always working. Also you will only notice the real fast charging from 0% to 50%. After that it slows down and then slows down even more after 80%.

Looks like the Aukey one doesn't fold up, pretty sure the Anker one the plugs fold down so they don't get beat up when it's not plugged in.

MFI USB-C lightning now available (still as pricey as Apple), use with 18W charger or higher and 50% charge in 1/2h for X, XS.

One makes quality products and has great warranty. The other is a cheap knockoff. Just look at the name.

Wow, great timing! I was this close to buying 2 of these for my Essential yesterday. I only realized recently I needed Power Delivery for it.
Thanks OP!

You're right, I did remember reading lack of PD was why they replaced the 29 with the 30, but clearly not the case. Wonder what is causing the issue for ultimate with his charger?

The reviews on this Actionpie brand is very questionable.
ICZ is quite good. It works with the Nintendo Switch as the others I've tried have not. Anker does too, obviously.

Anker is good quality for the most part.

Aukey can be hit or miss. and there's stories of people complaining about their purchase, and offered refunds by Aukey if they remove their negative reviews.

Anker was formed by some ex-Google engineers based in the States. Aukey is a Chinese company.

Chargers
Had an Anker wall charger failed during warranty. No hussle getting a replacement
Had an Aukey desktop charger failed during warranty. No hussle getting a replacement.

Usb A to microusb or lightning or usb-c cables
Anker and Aukey - none had failed
Monoprice - had 3 failed. No hussle getting lifetime replacements.

Personally (or psychologically) I trust Anker more. Though experience shows either is fine. For usb-a to usb-c cable, Anker was one of the first to come out with 56ohm resistor.

I have an Aukey and does fold like the Anker.

The regular 2.4a @5v isn't that slow. I am still getting pretty good charge time.

QC often runs as charging slowly, and indeed slower than molasses. It still will be able to work, but I've had to plug and unplug a couple times to trigger the "charging rapidly" on essential phones. Good thing I use the magnetic cables, so the ports should be ok.
