Same price from Boxing Day, definitely great deal. This version is "upgraded" because their initial release wouldn't charge with Anker's own wall chargers (ironic enough). Anyone that had an issue got a replacement. There aren't many USB-C powerbanks out there and of this size, I highly recommend this.

Interesting, any clue how to tell which model I have? Mine charges with the one Anker wall charger I have.

if memory serves me rite, you only get the 18W on USB-C for quick charging when charging the one device via USB-C. If you try dual charging, you lose the 18W as it is shared between the USB-A and USB-C ports. The info on amazon listing seems to suggests this too, but i couldnt verify it.

I know in the past i have been able to get the thicker Anker candy bar shaped 10000 PD, which would have a combined 28W via a dedicated 18W USB-C and 10W USB-A output.

Just thought ill throw it out there if someone was looking to get 18W when dual charging on these Slim powerpacks

I'm looking at replacing my 5 year old Anker E4 1300mah power bank that just died and deciding between this Anker powercore slim 10000mah vs. the Aukey 20000mah slim. I'm leaning towards the Aukey for the double capacity @ $7 more.

If you scroll down the Q&A on the Canadian site, Anker responds that the upgrade was to address incompatibility issues with "some PD chargers". Surprisingly, all the complaints from their USA link that shutdown only complained regarding Anker's incompatibility PD chargers.

Edit: Looks like the XS, X and iPad Pro 11 all benefit from PD charging....

You're right, but I doubt it makes much difference in this case. PD can be great, but 18W PD is only 3W higher than the 15W you get from any 5V3A USB C pack. If PD is the selling point, I'd go for something that supports at least 30W charging.

Grabbed one earlier today. It's mostly for the form factor - The slimmer design will fit better in my bag than the candy bar PD model I currently have. Still on the hunt for something even smaller with power delivery. but this is a good battery for a good price even if it doesn't do the full output on both connectors at the same time.

Weird question - why does it matter how fast the output is? I mean, whether it's in my jacket pocket or backpack or on the table... I'm on the go just charging phone with the battery bank... Nor like I'm gonna lose access to the power bank like I might a wall ac outlet Thinking Face

The only numbers on the unit itself is that it is an A1231 and an SN but the number of digits don't match up. The link you provided seems to be hijacked by an affiliate link that's redirecting to Walmart.

Just cracked mine open today. Ordered it on Boxing Day. I agree with the comments about the firm factor. Nice and slim and charges quite quickly.

I ordered this instead of waiting for the white version to come out. I think in the end, this one is less conspicuous. I'm finding my Charmast PD bank doesn't quite have the capacity that my Anker does (same mAh).

They've very different products. The one you linked is bigger and heavier but has a larger battery and can output out of both ports at 12W each. This one can do 18W out of it's USB C port or 12W out of it's A port but it's terrible as a two port charger because it shares the power and and drops to 7.5W each. It really depends on what you need more but the lower weight and 18W output (ie faster charging) were more desirable for me because I mostly use it with my Nintendo Switch.
