[Amazon.ca] Anker Powerwave Wireless charging pad - $15

Ankers Powerwave Wireless charging pad is on sale for $15.99 and works with Samsungs and iPhones. Seems like a pretty good price for Anker branded wireless charging pad.

Seems to be at the best price currently if you are looking for one.

LOL, thanks for hijacking the thread. I know a lot of folks here swear by Anker, but if none of their wireless pads can charge my S10+ above 10w, then how is the premium justified? I might as well go with the 2 pack from Costco

Remember guys, with wireless charger it’s always drawing power even if it’s not charging anything

Says it has pixel fast charge support? Can anybody confirm this charges 10W on the pixel? I thought only google approved chargers could charger at 10W wirelessly - just the Pixel stand and Belkin.

Regarding Stand-by consumption
TL;DR; Assuming SIX pads, average 0.17 watts on standby power, for a month of 30 days on Standby for 23h/day each, 19.32 Wh/d * 30 days into kWh = 0.579 kWh. Even at 40 cents / kWh (NWT, most expensive in Canada) = 23 cents a month

As for Actual Charging efficiency, I didn't do the math but it is more significant.

https://www.cio.com/article/3072227/yes ... 0with%20it.
"Choetech says that while its chargers are in standby mode, or plugged in but not powering up a device, they draw approximately 0.05 watt-hours (Wh) per day, 1.2 Wh per 30-day month, and 14.4 Wh per year."

https://debugger.medium.com/wireless-ch ... afdde70ed9
"the Pixel Stand charger. It consumes 0.25 watts when plugged in without a phone attached, which over 24 hours would consume around six watt-hours."

These are quite different specs, but in either case pretty negligible.

This site https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com ... vings.html
looks most trustworthy, stating an average standby draw of 0.14w each. They also make the reasonable assumption that users will possibly have up to 6 in their home, for a total wasted energy of 19.32 W-h per day.

I wouldn't be surprised, even the Anker one posted here does 10w with a QC2.0 or 3.0 charger.

Doesn't matter if it does 10W - it won't fast charge the Pixel.

OK now you have my attention. Is this for the Costco item or the OP's listing you're referring to?

Costco's (..the post I quoted). OPs won't fast charge Pixel, says right in the description (See my post above).

19.97 is for the single wireless charging stand item #1379885, 1466777 is the new dual charger which just came in for 39.99. Check the price tag item # in the pic.

Single has dual USB charging ports where as the new dual pack doesn't.

Well the pic shows a dual stand below the 19.97 price tag, soo.. no idea.

Couple things I find it’s easy to forget:

1. Stand chargers are more expensive (and IMO better looking, more useful, and easier to align) than pad-type chargers

2. You need a QC wall adapter (costs quite a bit) for fast wireless charging. Anker doesn’t include one, Costco does

For those reasons I think the Costco one at $20 is a much better deal

Got the round one a couple weeks ago 16.99 as a deal of the day for my new s20 fe. I like it so far. Haven't had any issues charging. I just toss it on there. Its kind of slow. Takes like 4 hours to fully charge but that's to be expected. I keep it on my night stand and just put it on when I go to bed.
