Weatherproof
IP65 level waterproof rating keeps it protected in rain or shine, with operating temperatures up to 122°F and as low as 5°F. (-15 C)

Greely
You could also buy this case to use the YI indoor cam outdoors.

It's likely not IP65, though....

The customer's question and answers reviews indicated it stood up to the Ontario and Halifax cold temperatures last year.

Most likely since there is nothing wrong with the look. Unlike Apple suing Samsung because of the camera placement

Can anyone recommend a camera that has an app that doesn't ask for many permissions? I keep seeing these Asian brand camera asking for permissions to my contacts, call history, etc

No issue in ontario last year, works well. I have it under cover (in a bird house) so that may help too.

These can be flashed with an open source firmware so less worry about permissions and data diversion to China.
That being said don't install these in your bedroom.

It's actually free 7 -days looping notification activated when you set up the camera. Once the camera detects moving objects and the motion detection is enabled in the app setting, then you will receive a 6 second video clip as notification. This motion detection alert is always free. You can then use the app to check the footage on the microSD card. It takes a few days to fill the storage so advisible to pull it down to a local hard drive every couple of days if you want.
And if you are a new user of YI cloud you get a free 30 -day cloud service when you register an account.
I will suggest you do some research if this fits your needs since I'm not pushing anyone to the product
