"Frameless" is absolute horseshit. It's got a 2mm bezel and then a ~half inch inner frame that isn't a bezel...

oh noes 2mm bezel
your complaint about the lower bezel is moot unless you're going to do triple monitors all in portrait mode
it's an IPS panel less than 99 USD...not in the market for any but thanks OP.
I remember when 23" Dell Ultrasharps for $230 used to be a good deal haha

Yep.

Not like I made up the name of the product. Everyone knows there aren't any TRUE frameless monitors out there with edge to edge display (for this price anyways, before you go pull out some product for $5000).

It's a super small bezel, 22" IPS display for $120CAD and people are thumbing down on semantics instead of commenting on the actual deal lol

As far as the vesa mount guy, yeah it sucks there's no vesa mount out of the box but there's always alternatives.

These guys are using the same monitor and managed to get it done in under $5 (what I'm planning on doing once I get these):

Also updated the title for those who have/will take "frameless" literally

I'm not sure if you understand words, but this says "frameless" and that it has a "2mm bezel."

If either of those things were true, I wouldn't be saying anything, but neither of those things is true, so how about you stop trying to sell me this monitor. Oh, and I'm not complaining about the "lower bezel" which I didn't mention anywhere in my post. I'm talking about the half-inch non-LCD between the bezel and the image on the screen, which is effectively the real bezel width of this monitor. Hence, "Frameless" is horseshit and 2mm bezel is a lie.

If you're as confused as you sound, here is what it actually looks like, to prove what I am talking about: http://www.channelpronetwork.com/review ... page=0%2C2

And yes it's a different model, and no there is no difference in the bezel between the two.

Meh. The image on amazon listing looks more similar to the review site you posted as opposed to whats on the box.

Can't see it anyways lol.

Also, on second thought, frameless is the right term for this monitor imo.

It's not saying bezel-less. It's saying frameless (not really, 2mm). So there's a 2mm actual plastic frame/bezel and then the black bars which look like they're part/above the screen, sort of like the glass/digitizers on top of smartphones:

The slight glare on the upper left hand side here gives a better idea of what I'm talking about:

Yeah I'm not saying the Amazon image is BS, though note that there's only one image from the front and it doesn't enlarge and isn't big enough to zoom in on... there's a reason for that. There might be good reasons to buy this monitor, but they have nothing to do with how it's being sold as a frameless/2mm bezel monitor.

Not sure what the thumb downs are for, this is an amazing panel for the price. No one would be able to find a comparable IPS panel for $119.

Just quit it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Why are you drilling on it? No one even wants to fight with you. Just go and SMS with yourself if you are looking for someone/something to argue.

Plenty of people bought this monitor at a way higher price and were happy with it. Most people are buying this not for the "frameless" feature and most people can tell that it isn't "bezel-less" as you "thought" it was.

Don't they OEM for other more well known manufactures?

do you get mad at orange juice that claims 100% when it's not 100% pure?

it's just marketing semantics...misleading, may be a little bit.

I appreciate it when people are trying to give consumers a heads up so they are better informed, when anyone is ordering add see the photo it should be apparently there exists bezels and it's not 100% frameless (which are not expected unless may be youre buying a $3000+ TV) so this is still an amazing deal.

I feel like you already made your point and now is just arguing for the sake of pooping on OP's contribution.

I don't believe so. You're probably thinking of AU Optronics...also another Taiwanese firm.

The width of the frame is 22mm greater than the width of the viewable area. That's really all that matters. Whether you cover 90% of the bezel with glass or not, the gap is still there. If you put two of these "frameless" monitors side by side there would be a one inch gap between the images. They are clearly misrepresenting it if not outright lying. I personally find the thing ugly due to the big silver bar at the bottom, but it's a decent price for a 22" IPS. Attempting to deceive customers would be a dealbreaker for me, even if I was in the market for one.

Yep. Thanks for getting it. I'm not sure why people are so adamantly defending this misleading crap.

It would be misleading if the images had the monitor showing an image edge to edge without the black bars. It does not.

People know what they're buying. If people were being misled, the reviews would follow. People that bought this monitor are pretty happy with what it offers.
