[Amazon.ca] AOC 24G2 24" Frameless Gaming IPS Monitor, FHD 1080P, 1ms 144Hz $198.98

Seems like a decent price for 144Hz. Bought as a gaming monitor for my son.

How was it significantly worse?

I also got the older generation (24" G1 curved) at the same price in March... employer paid for it. I would actually love 2x curved.

How does this one compare to the Dell 24 Gaming Monitor: S2421HGF?
On sale for $229.99 (reg $349.99) - 10% (code:10%OFFMONITOR) - 3% (Dell Rewards) - 2% (cashback) brings it to around $200 each before tax.

The G2 is IPS vs the G1's VA with similar response time and input lag, which are the 2 main downsides of IPS. It's a very good panel too with better colour accuracy than the G1's VA.

I've two 22" AOCs that I got last year and pretty happy with the brand.
These are G2E5 which is only 75hz. Otherwise it's pretty much the same feature wise (design and # of input ports, etc).

this was $150 through staples a couple months ago (before coupon stacking). i have the 27 inch version, great value for the price if you don't mind the ghosting.

Would this be a good monitor to use with a PS5? Or better off waiting for some HDMI 2.1 monitors to be released?

No, this is a 1080p monitor.

Also, who are the idiots downvoting this? This monitor is pretty much one of the best you can get at this price point. Read the reviews.

What type of monitor would I be after for ps5, if not 1080p?

For single player games, you would want a higher resolution for a better visual experience and the PS5 supports 4k and even 8k to some extent. For multiplayer games, you would want a higher refresh rate which the PS5 only supports at 1080p, so this monitor would make more sense.
