Are these any good?
I really wouldn’t mind a 120vac one though and spent some time looking at the dewalt one but this is substantially cheaper.

I am in need for a Air Compressor.
But I dont like to have it only attached with 12V outlet to work.

The word Portable is kind of misleading now as we have battery powered devices.
There is a similar device on sale at Prices Auto for $30.

I purchased one of these a couple of years ago, and though it's not a regular use item, whenever I have used it (to inflate my SUV tires or bicycle tires), it's been great.

These are very good to keep in the car. I've had this model https://a.co/d/dN0K3qr from Astro since December 2019 and still works very well. Stays in the car all the time, summer, winter...

I have this exact model and its in my car year round. 5th year owning it and no issues with using it to top up tire PSI. I like that turns off automatically when it reaches the set PSI so all tires are consistent.

This is a great find OP.

The discount is not as much as the 41% the deal advertises. If one reads carefully, It says non-deal price is $42.99, so $35.69 is about 17% off. The 41% is based on an inflated sale price of $59.99.

Nonetheless, it is a good deal.

Burned 2 similar products before noticed in the manual, you need to cool it 15min after 15min usage, be aware.

Never heard of the brand, but can’t complain since it comes with no risk. I believe if it’s junk, it’s easy to return at Princess Auto! Thanks!

Questions I have:

1) will 80 PSI be enough for tires?
2) Does it have auto shutoff like the one featured in this thread?

Another model also lightning deal. This one has metal structure and can do 160 psi
I had the plastic one returned it didn't work well in cold.
Bought metal version same company works great I use to blow up rv tires and bicycles.
No problems with metal version I keep In garage all year.
Thanks OP

Good point.

They all have a duty cycle, on/off period. The good ones will even give you a warning when it's hot.

If you're looking for battery, buy the Ridgid...presuming you have Ridgid batteries. Though it is hybrid and can run on 12V "car power" as well. Usually comes on sale for $60. It's probably the best 18V tyre inflator unit you'll find with the one downside being it is super LOUD. Otherwise good choices are the M12, M18 (but $$$ as usual with M18). The M12 can often be had at a decent price (~$100) in the promos, using return trick.

The Dewalt DCC020IB is perhaps the most versatile so if you have DeWalt batteries it's def. the one to go for--not only is it a great tyre compressor it's also dual-function with a volume inflator, along with being triple power (battery, 12V/car, 120V AC). It's nearly $200 though.

The Ryobi ones I think fall short of the above. The tyre (high pressure) only one is just a generic design with a ONE+ battery input; the dual-function one is alright but the phenolic piston on the high pressure side is prone to failure. I'd sooner get any of the above before either the Ryobis.

The Ridgid, honestly, on sale @$60 and with LSA is "the best" in a lot of ways...provided you can get the heck out of Dodge (or wear ear protection) every time you turn it on. Seriously it's so loud it's unreal. All compressors are pretty loud, but this one takes it to another level. That said I have two of them  Again at $60 it's cheaper and faster than the others and basically has a lifetime warranty which is something absolutely unheard of when it comes to tyre compressors.

I see $84.88 for the Rigid Tire Inflator online. Is it on sale at your local store? Additionally, it appears to only come with the bare tool, unless there’s a promotional offer which includes the battery. Thanks!
