Still seems expensive for a RTX 2060
Gaming PC: i9 9900ks, GTX 1070 8gb x2, 32GB RAM
Media PC: i5 9400f, GTX 1060 6gb, 24GB RAM
Phone: iPhone 8

With Nvidia’s recent price cut ($299 USD) on the RTX 2060 to compete with the release of the 5600Xt tomm, this card should be priced no higher than $399 CAD. I’d hold off even still as AMD is also apparently boosting the performance of the 5600XT and It is now supposed to be a direct competitor to the 2060 vs 1660ti. Benchmarks will tell the story tomm but if you don’t need ray tracing the 5600xt is starting to look very intriguing.

Also to keep in mind, it's looking like Nvidia will be announcing the 3000 series cards as early as March. So there might be bigger discounts on 2000 series or I would actually wait for the 3000 series since its believed they will bring an awesome performance bump due to the Ampere architecture at 7nm vs the current Turing at 12nm.

Good deal if you need a GPU now, but if you are looking to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading, I would wait. 3000 series are about to drop this year, which will decrease the price of these cards. With AMD making a good case for price-to-performance on their GPUs, we could also see a drop in NVIDIA prices.

Upvoted, but my recommendation would be to wait!

Yep, I'm waiting till 3xxx series before grabbing one of these. Not to mention like @squint72 said, should be no more than 399$ CAD after announced price drop. But of course we're still getting hosed due to exchange + "Canada over-barrel tax."

Why not just get a used 1070 GTX until Ampere releases? It's 5%-10% slower than the GTX 2060 and goes for about $250 used.

If this was a Super maybe but for a regular 2060, no thanks. Just wait for new GPUs on the way

no idea what is the point of 5600xt when the price is at $400, that is about the same as a 5700.

$400 at launch. Would expect that to slide a bit lower within 1-2 months.

since it has 2gb less vram and slower, I would put it around $350.

Nvidia just lowered the price of the RTX 2060 to answer to the 5600 XT. This will be the regular price from now on. No deal here.
