[Amazon.ca] ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 OC Edition Graphics Card (4GB GDDR6) - $227.99 (In stock Sept. 13th, 2021) OOS

Been searching for a GTX 1650 card for a while, but couldn't justify spending the high prices (over $300) on such a low end GPU.

I just noticed this deal appear on Amazon this morning and quickly jumped on it. This appears to be the regular price for the video card, without the inflated chip shortage and pandemic charges.

I don't think stock will last long, so better jump on it while you you.

I still play at 1080p, which I have no problem with at all.

I'm kinda confused about how a 1070 rates higher?

my 1070 is years old, isn't 1650 much newer?
The 1650 launched over 2 years ago at 149$ US msrp. It was a "low end" card then and in normal times would be discontinued/sold on ebay for very cheap.

It's a low-end card, comparable to 1050ti from that generation.

2 years ago it had GDDR5 memory. These newer versions come with GDDR6 memory and perform closer to the 1650 Super video cards.

It's newer but it's a successor to the 1050 TI. It's on the lower end of the Nvidia spectrum.

What a sad state for video cards this year. I ended up lining up for 3 hours to get a 3060 Ti last Friday and that might have been the easiest way to get a card than looking through every stock discord…

Take an upvote even though it's OOS (IMO there's value to getting these notifications even if they're short lived).

It's interesting that the link seems to be tied to the official ASUS store. Was the seller listed as ASUS when you grabbed it?

It's brutal. I keep tabs on the used market and I could sell my 4.5 year-old RX 480 for about 80-90% of what I paid new. What a seriously messed up state of affairs. We all know about crypto, but another part of the problem is that the GPU makers haven't been making any lower or mid range parts. That's starting to change with the 3060 released not long ago, and AMD looks to be releasing the 6600/6600Xt soon. Hopefully with people getting on with their lives, the stay-at-home demand for GPUs will start to fall and things can start to normalize. I've put off a new build for almost a year because there's no point without a new GPU.

Glad OP posted, am going to keep an eye on it. This is the one without the additional power connectors to the PSU right?

I have the MSI one from a month ago but that is more expensive ($255) and have a slower base clock so I would want to return that and get this.

I have the MSI too, but paid $297. Both are 75W, but the Asus is a bit longer in length. Will return the MSI if the Asus fits my board/case.
