[Amazon.ca] Aukey 10000mAh Power Bank w 18W USB-C PD and Quick Charge 3.0 - $35.99

I've been on the lookout for a slim power bank with USB-C and Power Delivery to charge my Nintendo Switch at full speed and also fast-charge my iPhone with a USB-C > Lightning cable.

However, most of them are upwards of 20000mAh and resemble actual, real-life bricks. I don't want to lug around that heavy of a battery pack everyday, so I've been watching this 10000mAh Aukey which checks all my boxes but comes in a super slim, carry-everyday size.

Regular price is $42.99 but Amazon.ca just added a $7 coupon, bringing it to $35.99. I was not charged tax on checkout.

I feel like wireless charging is too wasteful/slow to be really practical on a portable power bank, isn't it?

I mainly carry my power bank in my bag and break it out in emergencies when I need juice fast. In these situations, plugging in is much quicker and efficient - if I'm charging wirelessly, it's at my desk.

According to this article: https://medium.com/@clumsycontraria/how ... ebd84afdf9

As long as you're looking at a charger that outputs 18w via PD (like this one does), your Switch will actually charge as you play. Switch can apparently accept the 9v/2a output from the USB-C PD port.

And yes, the 20000mAh bank is much slower, the main point for me was fast charging for my iPhone and Switch - capacity is secondary.

thanks OP! Was looking at something similar in the $35 price range, but without PD. Totally agree with you on the slim form factor - would rather have this then a 20000 mAh brick to carry around.

You can always plug a wireless charger to it, can't you? Having wireless built-in would increase the price and size.
