There's no such thing as "aircraft grade" aluminum. Many different grades and kinds of aluminum alloys are used in aircrafts...

I was wondering what an "aviation pen" was myself. Thanks.

I tend to disagree...
If there wasn't aviation grade ... then why is it mention in the description?

So this prove that indeed aluminum grade exist

I bet you a lot of these reviews are fake. Very obvious spelling and grammatical errors in the 5.0 reviews and the others are meh. Only a 3.8 average even with all the 5s.

2mm lead is commonly used for drafting (assuming it's not done on the computer) and the lead is sharpened to a point. I couldn't tell you the benefits of using it over the smaller lead sizes.

I'm not sure why one would buy this over the Staedtler version for $8.79 at Staples. The Staedtler has been the gold-standard for 2mm lead holders for decades and is much more attractive than this unknown product that has to lie about aircraft aluminum.

I'm sure somebody in some military somewhere will buy one of these. Then they can claim it's military grade aluminum *and* a tactical military pencil.
