Its on netflix Canada by the way.

Show was promising in the beginning... Until it became a "space soap opera"!
I'm not even sure I watch the end...

I've read the last season really went south. Is that what you mean or do more seasons suck?
Should we have open retail markets to bring more UK and US retailers to Canada?wegmans-tops-trader-joes-americas-favou ... #p27788812

Well, it started with the drama about the head-cylon...
And all the romance and their twists...
I stop watch the show when they find earth.
I think they wanted to make the show longer, but it just lost his interest.

No it's not. The wife and I used PIA to watch the beginning on Netflix UK a while ago but we are no longer able to. I just checked on Netflix Canada and all I get when typing in Battlestar is "Titles related to Battlestar Gallactica: Firefly, ect...".

At 65$ it is pretty tempting as we did enjoy the first half of the first season.

Why does this sound like a Robot, or 1st gen Cylon?
Did the show simply hit too close to home? ;)

Great show, with a terrible finale (like so amy other finales).

Totally worth the time to watch if you have not seen it yet.

*** for anyone who is thinking of buying and has not already seen the show, STOP READING NOW! People are posting spoilers below.

Hahahaha, I'm not a first Gen cylon!
I'm more a first gen toaster!

I think the producer thought: "the longer the better".
So they try to add episodes to the show.
They even made an episode about meeting with first gen cylon!!!
The "cylon head council" and all their twist was just LAME.
And the Adama son character became a joke (refusing to upload a virus to cylons, defending Gaius on trial...).
Even Starbuck returning in a federation ship...

I liked the Finale. I seem to be in the minority.

SPOILERS....

What other ending could there be? They found a habitable planet and settled on it. I figured that's how it was going to end. The only part I thought was odd was sending the entire fleet and technology into the sun.

There was one season it lacked, I think 3 or 4. Other than that, the other seasons were amazing.

Loved this show, yeah ending could have certainly been better, but if it were chances are it wouldn't have been the end of it ;) (IIRC the plug was being pulled midseason (S4E10, writers strike or something), yet the studio gave them a chance to wrap it up with less budget few months later).

Any way, if you are going to bite, consider the UK version (region free, ships for about $57 CADs all included).

I got mine from amazon UK awhile back I think it was $48 all in and it got delivered in 2 days, while Canadian stores were selling it for $239.

Great show, however soundtrack is where the show really shines.

Thanks, I am just about to start watching this with my SO (I've seen it, she hasn't). I've torrented the entire show but this is worth it for me.

Part of the reason the finale wasn't that good was due to them running out of money. They put all their cash into the last battle at the cylon hub orbiting the blackhole.

Anyway bsg is one of my favourites despite some episodes sucking.

Hmm...sounds like a show more for the Star Wars crowd and not Star Trek...perhaps I should pass.

I'd say more star trek for sure. It's easily one of my favourite tv series I've ever seen. My wife and I watched the entire series in a month. It does have some sucky episodes but just like every series but it also is well acted amd lots of great characters.
