It does sounds better than most monitors

I have this monitor, got it in one of the previous sales.
Display itself is excellent for its price point.
However do not count on great sound quality from the built in "subwoofer" and speakers. They are still subpar compared to any decent external setup but, depends on ones expectations and requirements, may be good enough for some.

For built-in speakers, these are the best you'll get in a monitor. These speakers can't compare to external so don't expect them to be the best thing ever.

Great monitor overall. I have it as my main and I am happy with it. I use the speakers to listen to music, movies or meeting when I don't feel like wearing headset and I'm happy with it.
Looking to pair it with the similar EW2780q, same monitor minus the 144hz for 339, which is also ATL

2k is closer to 1080p and has nothing to do with 1440p at all, other than that seems like a decent deal.

I just get annoyed, manufacturers do it now too. It will get to the point where we just have to accept that for consumer products they mean 1440p when they say 2K. It all started from youtube videos where some people just started calling 1440p 2K and its stuck.

I need some me help fam. I have a gtx 1660... Which can get 144fps in rocket league (probably!) but in other games it would be lower.

So... How do these monitors work at eg. 100hz, 90hz, 70hz, 50hz, etc... I've read that many monitors may have great motion at full hz but strobing makes motion look atrocious at say.. 90fps. I know some monitors have black frame insertion which helps... But only at certain frequencies... And being that I have a 1660 I believe most games will run at these in between fps.

I have a plasma TV that while input is only 60hz, output is 300hz. Motion looks much better on this than at 100hz on my 1440p Korean monitor.

Note I'm probably mixing up hz and fps... But anyways... Can anyone comment on this or other monitors for in between fps? I feel like for my fps these gaming monitors will still have crap motion...

Variable refresh rate.. you setup for [email protected] in OS, then games can unlock v-sync to hit "up to" 144 fps. The tearing and stuttering is taken care of with VRR and called g-sync for nvidia. This matches the monitors refresh to your gpu fps output for smooth video. This monitor is not certified gsync but reviews say a 2019 update allows it to work.

If concerned you can usually lock 30/60/72/90/120/144 rates but it's dependant on the game. Fps and hz basically mean same thing, time between new photos being displayed

Works very well.

The built in speakers are a good back up when you don't feel like using your headset,

The HDR is a joke, don't bother.
